maybe you want to check out the row of tile shops along balestier road

it's just opposite the balestier primary/secondary school, nearer to thomson medical

one thing to note is you MUST tell the salesperson that you are buying yourself

usually they'll charge display price but quite heavy discounts are given to contractors / IDs

my tiles display price is $3.2 but once they heard i'm getting it myself, it dropped to $2.5 and bargaining managed to reduce it further to $2.3

got them at Hup Kiong :sport-smiley-003:

if ID or contractor buying then cannot bargain liao

coz they will want to earn the difference :sport-smiley-003:

standard at least 20% off, even if you are just buying one piece

at least for hafary, coz that day i was there and a guy wanted to buy one piece to replace a damaged tile. straight away, 20% off display price :)
