iamme 0 Report post Posted August 15, 2007 Hihi! Welcome to the virtual tour of the making of our home.. Let me start with a ride to the past..This was the 5th and the last unit of our house hunting era. Fell in love with it the moment I entered while Mr Loh only heard the noise from the PIE in front Needless to say, I managed to convinced him it's 'THE ONE' for me This unit was rented out for the longest time hence has only the basic fixtures and basic maintenance. Felt no qualms about giving it a total make-over. (My agenda during selection: It either be really nice that I dun need to lift a finger on reno or really old so I can have a Singapore version of exterme makeover - home edition) Let's have a look around ya..The living roomhttp://i94.photobucket.com/albums/l100/von...-07-07_1938.jpgThe balcony (Say bye to it cos we going to knock it away. Iamme like big spaces)http://i94.photobucket.com/albums/l100/von...-07-07_1953.jpgThe Dinninghttp://i94.photobucket.com/albums/l100/von...-07-07_1940.jpgThe kitchenhttp://i94.photobucket.com/albums/l100/von...-07-07_1942.jpgThe MBR (Sort of L-Shaped)http://i94.photobucket.com/albums/l100/von...-07-07_1949.jpghttp://i94.photobucket.com/albums/l100/von...-07-07_1950.jpgBR1http://i94.photobucket.com/albums/l100/von...-07-07_1947.jpgBR2http://i94.photobucket.com/albums/l100/von...-07-07_1946.jpg

iamme 0 Report post Posted August 15, 2007 (edited) After consulting 6 firms and brought 5 to our home, we had a winner. Reasons for such 'chop chop' decision being both Mr Loh and myself have had enough explaining what we have in mind and 'stolen' enough ideas from those brief visits to have a concrete idea of what our new home will be like Up to date, my reno has started a bit more than 2 weeks le. Nothing significant can be seen yet but let me show you the distructions Balcony tile gonehttp://i94.photobucket.com/albums/l100/von...-08-07_1645.jpgKitchen cabinet gonehttp://i94.photobucket.com/albums/l100/von...-08-07_1654.jpgWall between dinning and kitchen cabinet going off soonhttp://i94.photobucket.com/albums/l100/von...-08-07_1648.jpgBasically all floor tiles, wall tiles and built in items are history nowwelcome to renotalk Thankie.. Hi iamme, Welcome to Reno T-Blog. Seen your house photos, look quite nice, maybe just need a new coat of wall paint to make it more refreshing. Me uniform freak Me already got a question now. I chose black glossy laminate for kitchen cabinent, Mr Loh not supportive of the idea cos of all the finger prints it'll attract. Any one know how to effectively remove finger prints?.. Edited August 15, 2007 by iamme
