Move In Conditions (with Little Or Not Design/features)

Recommended Posts

Hello,

Since it is a move in condition with little or not features / design, then it is better to deal directly with contractors than thru id.

Thanks!!

Nowadays there is a thin line between contractors and IDs. Some contracting company just change their name, cook up some drawings and call themselves "ID".

So if you are talking about saving real amount of money, you need to deal direct with every single contractor for every single works. However, if you are not technically-inclined, its very easy to screw up. Got to weigh if worth it or not...

Hi ZIRHK,

Thanks again for the information.

After dicussing with my wife over a period of time, we feel that we dont need design/features but of course need wardrobe, tiolets & kitchen cabinets, wiring and lighting.

But then dealing with every single contractors for every single works will be ****.

So better to have 1 that do all.

Thanks!:notti:

Yeah I guess the usual contractor-cum-ID that everyone is using here should suit you best lor; they are not very ex and also can give some design ideas. There are alot out there, just be careful to check if they got HDB licence and maybe run an ACRA check on their background also.

Real ID can be very expensive because of their focus on design works, drawings and ideas - expect to fork out a few ten thousands just for their design only, no work done. Not recommendation unless you got really deep pockets...

Yes budget is another big issue.

That is why we try to keep it low and simple.

How to check on acra on their background?

HDB licence can check thru hdb web.

ACRA one got to pay $5, its at www.acra.gov.sg. Go find 'bizfile' or something like that to get the company profile. It will show you when the company is registered, how many directors/shareholders, paid-up capital, etc.
