Warrior88 0 Report post Posted August 11, 2007 Current model ( National ) 3 X Single split 10 years oldConceal pipeInverter - Not sure ...maybe notElectric Bill - $220Inverter / Non InverterChoose inverter cos an inverter has a variable speed compressor. The rotation speed frequency is regulated intelligently to meet specific cooling load requirement. Power consumption is thus more efficient. My bills very high !!Single / Multi ?Any recommendation ...which is better ?Conceal Pipe ?Will probably get new ones ( Make new lines )Heard that Mitsubishi is good for energy saving. Not just becos of Mr Liang Adverts. Is that true. LG nice look Korea girls but not worth.
zirhk3355 1 Report post Posted August 11, 2007 Mit is really quite popular - maybe because of the ads?? I also using Mit.But stay far far away from LG, esp that artcool model. Nice to look at, not nice to use. Got so many complaints from this forum and also my own friends. As for whether single/multi, I think it depends on the 'horsepower'. You can check out the 'aircon' blog here, think done by someone on this forum:http://singapore-aircon.blogspot.com/
bernice 0 Report post Posted August 11, 2007 i am using mit non inverter starmex, personally used carrier, daikin, sanyo before. Carrier ok but outlook not very nice.Daikin heard power consumption very high.Sanyo very noisy.Heard sharp compressor very noisy.Quite amazed of the noise of the mit compressor produce. And price within our budget so we go for it.Conceal pipe as in the wall...can't see the pipe? it is not very advisable as it is very headache for u is anything wrong with the piping in future. Warrior88 0 Report post Posted August 13, 2007 Thanks for all the info,Just found out, difference of Multi / Single.1. High initial cost2. Cooling not affected by using all together3. No savings in Elect, cos it depends on indoor unit ( KWH )My requirment, is using all 3 rooms together ( 2 X 9000 ) + ( 1 X 12000 )System 3 may not be able to cool all at 1 time.Starmex do not have single inverter. ( strange ? )Got some rough estimate ...InverterPanasonic ( 2+1 ) = 2039+1049 = 3088Mitsubishi ( 2+1 ) = 2099+929=3028 ( 1 = non inverter ) / (2+1) all non inv = 1679+929=2608Mitsubishi ( Sys3 ) = 2879 ( total BTU 28,000 ) Non InverterMitsubishi ( Sys3 ) = 2159 ( but total BTU only 20,000 ) means 776 or 866maybe cannot cool the roomEst not include conceal pipe & stainless steel bracket
Devilaz 0 Report post Posted August 13, 2007 Try not switch on all your air-condition one short. Try to switch on one by one. so at least that the compressor wont take too much pressure and energy.if possible switch on the furthest one from the compressor one first. then every 5 - 10 minutes on the other one. I am not sure whether u have space or current limitation.
