I upgraded armflxto to 0.5inch and pipe from copper 23 to 22…

Dunno if trucking is consider thicker than normal, but it seems okie to me..

Btw, I bot non-inverter Sanyo sys3 from gaincity and opt for 5yr warranty, upgrade pipe and insulator at S$2329.

I thin air con should go for better piping and insulator… dunnno after using 1-2 yrs start leaking here and there… will be troublesome lo..

I have upgraded pipe and insulator and this is the trucking.

It seems okie to me, dun see too “thick”

My ID suggested having the trucking “run” below the window grills. And the result looks good to me..

The workmanship from aircon guys is quite good. Not much gap between the trucking and the touch up is nicely done.

I din do up the little carpentry for the little recess below the window…

I refer to Daikin website and I don't see Nation Cool as their dealer. Since Daikin air con is having promo of 2 years warranty now, will you be getting the promo of 2 years from Nation Cool? I also thinking of getting Daikin non-inverter.

Last mth bought a Sys 3 non inverter, Toshiba model #RAS-3M20S2AX / RAS-M10SKPX for the indoor unit and outdoor unit. Nett price is $1870 which includes installation, metal bracket, trunking, armaflex insulation and free one time service before 1yr. Personally aft looking at NEA website on no of ticks, this 3 ticks non inverter cost savings is not too far off from a 4 ticks inverter, but to get a good inverter aircon, you need to pay alot outstripping any cost savings u intend to have.

Do u have 5 yr warranty on ur aircon?

Hi simpleguy80, good question, I am not sure of how many yrs warranty I am getting because I still have a stack of warranty cards for most of my electrical appliances still there in my file...hahaha. But I guess I am not getting any addtional warranty from Toshiba. If its 1 yr, guess I am enjoying only 1 yr.

or should i get a single system 4 ??

Just to share with all, also to Firestarter, this may give you an indication of the pricing.

Went down to GC at AMK Ind Park II on Sunday to enquire about possible air-con combos.

Since we have 4 bedrooms and also looking to have an A/C unit at the Living/Dining, the GC staff suggested to us the following options best suited to our needs:

(a) Hitachi - System 3 and System 2 Inverter Combo

- 3 X RAK25N5 : $2,699

- 1 X RAK25, 1 X RAK50: $2,229

- Upgrade insulation for both: $300

- Extended Warranty: $359 each.

- 2 X Installation Surcharge: $85.

(b) Mitsubishi Electric - System 4 Inverter and System 1 Non-Inverter Combo

- System 4 MXY 4A28VA: $3,659

- System 1 MUAD18VA (18000 btu): $1,249

- Upgrade insulation for both: $300

- Extended Warranty: $359 each.

- 2 X Installation Surcharge: $85.

Still debating about whether to just live with a System 4 for just the rooms and leave the A/C out of the Living/Dining. The more frequently used A/Cs will be at most for 2 or 3 rooms; while the A/C will probably be the least used except in time of really warm heat waves like the past week.

I did consider coolserve..and even went down to their showroom to take a look.

The sales person is very patient and show me different a/c.

Price is very transparent coz everything is on internet..

I would have taken them but then my ID air con guy beat them by 50 bucks..

I'm just wondering how to deal with the 4 bedrooms for mine. Not sure if having a System 4 and a Single Split would work better or a System 3 and System 2 (with 1 larger A/C unit for Living/Dining). Would you happen to know what's the biggest capacity compressor for a System 4? Is it 28000Btu?

was told that i cant reuse my existing metal bracket.. is it true that the bracket is different for different outdoor unit?

did anyone buy this combo (MSXY-GA13VA + 2x MSXY-GA10VA) recently? how much is the total damage?

anybody had experience in changing/installing aircon while living inside? how to minimize the mess and dirt?

I realised that many of you purchased your aircons from aircon specialist shops. What about Courts, Carrefour or Fairprice Extra? Do these stores provide reasonable pricing and good installation services? Any bad experiences with these stores? I am planning to get a multi-split soon so looking for some guidance here.

I almost got a System 4 with 12, 9 , 9, 22 combination and I believe the compressor was 32K btu - Mitsubishi Heavy Industries. My view on 4 bedroom apt, I might opt for System 3 and System 2. Ideally the living should have at least 22k btu.
