singtel - too little channels - not the right time now to subscribe

starhub - lots of channels - too expensive/overpriced.

singtel - good value for money - i get 900+kbps for 1mbps subscription of $29.95

starhub - for $57 i still get only 300-400+kbps - good for condos and private estate not for hdb dwellers.

Now starhub and singtel having those 3-in-1 package. Maybe I should just stick back to internet basic package

connect to WiFi router.

add standalone skype cordless handset

add standalone internet radio

get a mobile handset with WiFi capability

VoIP - is it from starhub? So need to buy the device?

there are a lot of companies offering VoIP service

some you buy the phone and they give free calls, some you subscribe to the service and use your own phone

it really depends on if you call overseas often or you want a phone number for people to call

VoIP numbers starts with 3 instead of the 6 for landlines
