Costs to consider for landed

Recommended Posts

I’m exceeding because I decided to push back to 8.5m. That’s why thinking of cantilever that’s 6.1m. So wondering if anyone had luck with no additional beam for 6.1m. :)

check with your PE. Cantilevered roof would depend a lot on the loading and materials to be used. If you are doing RC carporch roof with roof terrace, then don't even need to think of cantilever so much without columns. But with lightweight materials then it's different. your PE should be able to calculate how much can be done. worst case is you have exposed tie rods to tie back the roof to a higher part of the column to provide the additional support if you don't want to have columns.

Something to consider

how hard is it to clean

the angle and where the water will flow

one of my pillars has water seepage due to the way the water flow

and the amount of noise the roof creates

Thanks all! What kind of roof do you all suggest? My roof has no rc balcony. Just a roof… the pe said the same about additional support needed and see if I can live with the look. So I was wondering anyone did so I can see how it looks like.
