Birds nesting?

I have a 12 bird boxes of various shapes sizes and last year 2 had nests in.
This year no signs at all.
Surely they would have began nesting by now.
Or can I blame it in to many magpies about.
Or my presence in garden most of the day.
Anyone got any nest box activity

Hmm, that is pretty awkward, though. I also have 12 bird boxes, and this year I have also got a couple of birds in there.  Each year is almost the same situation. Three or four birds nest in there and live until the end of the summer. Some of my neighbors got angry with me as those birds kept on bringing more and more birds into the neighborhood, and they started to nest in the eaves of the other houses. At last, I advised them to read an article on birdproofingguide. They got rid of birds and their nests, but they still don't talk to me.
