Dishwasher Drainer Cabinet Hydraulic Hinges

Recommended Posts

Anyone uses the hydraulic hinges. Is it durable? I was in my col's house and seems like the hydraulic is not so smooth, is it poor workmanship or is it the hydraulic itself?

Any alternative to solve this? Thanks.

Due to wear and tear, most probably the hydraulic plunger has to be changed. Safest way is to remove it and bring to hardware shop to source for similar one.

Hardware shops like homefix, self-fix or you can try hardware shops

along Geylang road (T*i Seng H*rdware) or yellowpages.com.sg

I suppose is just drill & fix into the same holes where the old ones used to be? Else the cabinet will hv lotsa holes...

Yup..find the item with exact holes position but not necessary same brand.

no need to drill as it will enlarge the holes plus the screws used are self tapping. Just screw it in.

Ermm...Not very sure..

You hv to consider Made in China, Taiwan and etc..Plus brand lor..

But i think durability is still far most important. As i don't think you would want to change it very often..I PM you a hardware shop contact and u try asking??

Ya.. I think the quality is indeed compromised. Maybe you want to check with your ID whether he can replace for FOC?? I supposed there is a after reno warranty. But probably he would say it is not his fault as warranty does not include wear and tear... :dunno:

Usually ID gives normal hinges and etc to maximise their profit margin. Thats where we suffer from..
