Painting Of House

Recommended Posts

Hi people!

I've noticed that some people prefer to DIY the painting, but others feel that it was terrible.

Let's have a poll to vote.

If DIY, we can save a few hundred bucks. But hwe ave to take leave, and some find that the work is too much!

If we pay the contractor, he has professional workers who can paint in 3-4 days time and do a good job (hopefully).

Which will you choose?

heh heh i'm a lazy person

the thought of the achy shoulders after painting all the ceilings is enough to make me dig deep into my pockets and pay someone else

they have the scaffoldings so they can lie down and paint :P

For me, if it is an empty house, painting is fun. When you see the colours forming up one room by a room, the sense of satisfaction is great. But it is a house filled with stuff, then I sure outsource liao.

I voted for someone else to paint for me...

Its not worth to save the money and in the end, I gt to sacrfice my leaves

and aching body at the end of it...

And I might not do a good job too...

I tink my leaves are more expensive than paying the painters...keke...

In the end, managed to get hubby to be convinced by his old friend: that just to save $1300 for painting and invest personal labour & time to take at least 1 week leave, especially for new flat, is better to leave to the pros. The surface preps, the primers, the tools required, the swee swee no botch ups on edges, the timing before and after carpentry, the touch ups here and there......headache lah.
