Video wise most probably turn off the AV upscaling and use the projector upscaling.

I didnt know can get direct from Japan. anyway already order $4600 is quite a good price and value for money compared to other projectors, mainly DLP, similar quality projector cost much more and this one receive good review though out, so I am pretty happy after I seen the demo several times.

As for upscaling, perhaps I am not clear enough. With all HiFi, AV alike, the source is the primary quality, I remember viewing a blue ray disc that is poorly mastered played thru a high end blue ray player, the result sucks.

The various information on the latest HDMI1.3a for deep color, etc is provided the entire chain is HDMI 1.3a, sadly I dont have a HD or Blue ray player, mine is a reference model from Sony DVPNS9100ES and is only capable of upscaling to 1080i and the Epson will then do the interlacing to 1080p. The more processing the more noise, in most cases unless you really have a very high end component.

So for me since the source, my DVD can upscale to 1080i and the Epson is doing a very very good job in deinterlacing to 1080p, i will not need the AV Amp to do the processing, save on heat, potential interferences and still get good picture. Having the AV Amp do another round of processing is not going to add much to the picture I think. OF course will need to try it out to know for sure.

I had view a few setups from my friends to come to my conclusion.

The warranty is a 2 year international warranty that will be honored by the local Epson.

Hi,

Today install aircon. took the whole day.

Will need to cut slots in lbox and false ceiling to accomodate the fancoil.

Tmr will be ceiling work and next week painting and chemical washing.

Will take picture once washing is done.

Hi everyone,

Some updates. been a week plus since last update, again no pic, apologies.

Today, start lights installation, kitchen cabinet installation and solid top measurement.

Tmr, painting again for another coat.

By end of this week to early next week should have all things done except for hall cabinet and hifi console.

Then the week after next will be blinds and my bedroom wardrobe and bed.

Then its all done...and following that will be waiting for my purchases to deliver.

Took some pictures here it goes, so far all turn out to be very close to my design 95% i must say with some practical issues so need changes but otherwise i should say its all my design.

The Hall with the red wall to make the place dim, that is where my projector screen will be mounted

MBR No bed and wardrobe yet, the aircon seal is an eye sore but no choice will have a table to block

My daugther's room, she chose the colors, i just take it no input from me, turn out quite nice actually, the super low ceiling, that's concrete as its common corridor up there 11th floor kind of odd but looks ok after a while

Going to ask to have frosted tape for the top and perhaps a bit on the center and bottom of the door.

The top one is mostly for the blocking of laundry hanging in the kitchen and the center and bottom for safety visual aid to note a glass door is there.

That's all for now.

Carpentry for kitchen still doing should complete in a few days with solid top, hall cabinets, hifi console, the missing MBR grilles, Doors, Gates and other accessories and finally will be the completion of electrical socket as some will be conceal in carpentry...touch up and done.

MBR will be done by another company and will be installing on 23rd.

And that's it....will have more pics once all are installed before delivery or most items and one more when all are delivered and arranged but before move in, should be around a month time for the final update

Today went up again, so took some photos again, didn't expect to go up that soon again, anyway, kitchen done, cabinet door fixed, doors fixed except main door lock set.

Kitchen done, waiting for citygas to hook up the hob (this Sat)

The sink area

Opposite side of the hob & hood, will have fridge near the door side and washing machine near the toilet entrance side

Viewing towards hall from kitchen, store is on the left, this time with cabinet doors up.

The similar cabinet at the main entrance side, actually the door is alternate, one panel gloss and one panel ribbed, but pic can;t see clearly

The other end of the entrance side cabinet, is drawers and shelves

The cabinet door handles, flush type, from this pic can see the difference of the door

Metal art piece at dining area, will match the stainless steel table frame and chair legs, got it from Parkmall, still wrapped up, need to see with lights and will have difference effect on the metal surface, again photo can't show clear enough

This is one of my existing metal art piece, hang in MBR wall as my MBR bed will be bronze color, so this is kind of close color match i hope

1. Vacuum, Steam, Fridge, room mini HiFi, LCD TV x 2 (1 for me and 1 for my girl, me having a smaller one)

Outstanding items:

that's it

Reno, considered all done, going to get main door keys and also to get spare paints to touch up myself

Will be doing some cleaning up starting tmr, bit by bit, will take some pics as well
