there's soft panel and hard panel for LCD. hard panel are better and more expensive. that why you see some LCD are selling cheaper than another with similar function.

I think Samsung has a very successful marketing campiagn, such that some salesman in electrical shops tell me that even aunties can tell them that Samsung is the best and that they don't even need to promote Samsung brand. But are they really the best?

There are some who says that there are only 2 panels maker in the world and the rest of the world take from them? But there are some who says otherwise. So who is right?

At the end of the day, buy what you like and can afford.

We also bought what we like.. actually its what "I" like.. lol.. wife is happy that we are getting lcd/plasma already.. as long as 40" and above..

Best LCD Panel makers are Sony and Samsung, in fact Sony get most of its panel from Samsung.

The acrylic Panel of Samsung is the best in the market.

But the Full HD LCD TV is expensive, I myself is eyeing the 46" currently at $6999 in major electrical store, but I think can get at about $6....hopefully outside and hopefully by year's end price drops

Yes I am, crazy over such things, before have kid, almost everyday listen to music or movie, after kid no more, now kid bigger 6 end of this year and staying at her grandma place only back on fri for the weekend, so time to get crazy again...I dont have too many friends and not a night spot person, so music is the best pass time for me.

Got chance can enjoy music together.

i hardly go to night spots anymore.. sometimes just prefer quiet time..

Actually you won't go wrong with the Sony or the Samsung but what struck my note is the Samsung series, it has a special feature whereby there's fast panning shows that it's **** smooth. check it out!

I suppose you use to "Cheong" in the past...haha, I am starting to drink but only beer, as I have very bad alcohol allergy and only recently doc say ok to drink beer after some blood test. I am living in woodlands now, but new place in AMK.

Please explain what constitutes a hard panel and soft panel?

my understanding is that hard panel are of a better quality and reduce reflection. how to differ between hard and soft panel> drag your finger softly across the screen/panel if no finger print it's hard panel. try it out yourself.
