tim_chenie 0 Report post Posted June 28, 2007 Hi Mr Chong, Our corner apartment neighbour has a ba gua and red cloth hanging on top of their main door. What is the purpose of this arrangement? I read from Feng Shui books that corner house has "arrows" or qi rushing towards them, thus this arrangement is used to disperse the qi. Is that correct? If so, what effect does it have on the neighbours? We are moving in to the apartment just to the side of corner apartment. What should we do if bad qi is redirected from the corner towards our apartment? Does Aloe Vera Plant, Cactus and Fu Dogs help? Please advise. Thanks in advance. Hello timSome people may hang it under their tradition/ beliefs but on many occasion it may come from the advise of a FS master. Usually a BaGua mirror has the objective to reflect 'sha qi'. Of course, accordingly it should be reflected to the opposite house. Again a red cloth signifies 'wang' but if recommended by a FS practitionerit may be meant as element interaction.Unless you are talking about corner house with long corridors, the rest are not that bad. These are called 形煞. It can be good or bad. Not necessary bad always. Its better that you put up your floor plan here to discuss. Generally, if your door entrance is located in the east to south direction, putting plants there will serve for you 2 purpose.Putting cactus may backfire on yourselves. You have to be sure that there is 'sha qi' before you look into any remedies.
