Hi Everyone, at Jalan Membina,

Just plug in Starhub cable modem and Broadband modem it work instantly without a problem. I 'm not doing any housewarming.. too tired to do anything after I unpack..

With Regards,

Hi ALL

Need advice from everybody.

Which is better? Confused!!

1) Full HD

2) Ready HD, need to buy the 'box' ($300+)...

3) LCD

4) Plasma

Went to

1) Audio house: Cash and credit, diff more than $1k++, Ah Bengs! Put me off.

2) Mustafa : Too many unkown brand! Lots of pple, nearly fainted

3) Carefour : Akira and Randeline (local)...not sure good or not.

4) HN : Best find, Pansionic Versa (correct?)...undecided....

5) Best Denki : Price higher than HN.

In the end, go home empty handed....

Should I wait for PC show to get tv cw free gives??

For 4 room, 37" to 42" ok? Is it too near?

Thanks!!!

HAPPY

"HD Ready" - Need to buy box? What box? Don't get cheated ok?

LCD or Plasma - A lot of debate... Just buy what's comfortable to your eyes, that's the most impt

I bought from HN, I bargained and they gave me prices similar to neighbourhood stores.

PC Show in June - All of them are retailers like HN, Audio House, Best Denki.... not much difference. Free gifts are determined by the brand, not the retailer. Whatever price they give u @ the show, u can go to their retail shop and get the same thing

I'm using a 40" Full HD in my living room, 32" HD Ready in MBR... somehow, the 32" looks sharper although both are the same brand and settings... maybe 40" is too wide for free-to-air channels. Will be setting up my digital tv box later today, hope the quality improves

Hi Ultra & Kelvin...Thks...yes HN saleaguy told me need to buy a kind of box to plug in the tv for Ready HD, if Full HD, then dont need as the tv already has the 'box'. I might go to HN (suntec).

How about challenger?

Btw...any good and reliable movers around?

I think it's an upscaling box or HD Tuner :)

Frankly... Full HD or not... what matters is the tuner. We need to have a HD tuner to be able to watch programs in Full HD resolution. The only Full HD free-to-air channel is HD5, all other channels are in Standard Defination (SD) even with the HD Tuner.

If you wanna watch cable TV on full HD, be prepared to pay over $100/mth

Challenger sells lousy models, I am a Challenger member if U need me to help u buy things at a discount :)

Hi Kelvin...Thks!!!!

Yeah, I asked the salesman that channel 5 , 8 cna, etc...show SD, and he show me the SD under FULL HD, READY HD...the image is kind of abit blur...not like I am in the home watching my present crt tv but the image is very sharp.

Is it really matter to have Ready HD, full HD or whatever?

LCD life span longer.

Plasma life span shorter.

Plasma very sharp image.

LCD not so sharp image.

I saw one panasonic Vera, I forgot hd or full, etc....32" selling $1199, and 42" selling $1499...very tempting.....

Which brand is good??

HAPPY
