seahwl 0 Report post Posted June 17, 2008 Hi vacis, Sad that such thing happened in our neighbourhood. I believed welding of bolts & nuts of the iron gate is no use. I was told that those XXX cut off the gate and then force open the wooden doors. Therefore, i still believed we must help each other and keep a lookout for any suspicious characters lottering around. Btw wat time those XX break into your unit ?

The gate was pad locked but not the wooden as i was expecting my hubby to come home around the same time. Those two guys looked kinda shocked initially and started explaining that they were told by "my" contractor to fix the water heater....etc, etc. However they're not able to tell me what is the contractor's company name! Made a report thru 1800-3779999. So guys, beware! By the way, why are the lights at our door not on around that time!!!!!!!!! bobo_girl 0 Report post Posted June 17, 2008 (edited) Nope, gate was pad locked at the time. They open the unlocked wooden door & pushed it way inwards to have a good view. I was in the bedroom and my furkid got alerted and started to bark. Edited June 17, 2008 by bobo_girl

binzz 10 Report post Posted June 17, 2008 This is so dangerous.. I thought with the opening of the coffeeshops downstairs, our area will be more crowded and the theives will back off.. But seriously, the way our house are structured give very good opportunities for them to break-in.. Its like 1 to 1 and in a corner..
sierra 0 Report post Posted June 17, 2008 (edited) Hi neighbours, I'm planning to move in soon, and it is disturbing to hear such news. Perhaps we should organise a neighbourhood watch group or something? Also, did anyone have problems with starhub cable? they are saying that because of the low occupancy rate of our current estate, we need to pay to get the signals activated and for them to come and check all the signal points. This is so ridiculous because eventually our estate would be occupied just that everyone hasn't moved in yet. Edited June 17, 2008 by sierra
