Hello everybody

This is the old question which has been discuss before.

Just to bring it up again for your comments.

1) Did anybody drill 3 holes (Bottom) at the main door kerb area? What is your contractor comment?

2) Did anybody see how your electrician install sockets on the wall?

They hammer the screw into the wall or screw it in? Please comments.

HAPPY

1) drill 3 holes (bottom) - if you mean for the gate. I havn't think of that as we worry that the tiles will be crack. So, can't afford to take a risk.

2) sockets - unable to answer as we wasn't on the spot.

It requires skills indeed as I saw my neighbour units (2 unit) drill 3 hole on it).

The metal gate will not shake.

But the reasons I rec' is that robbers can just saw off the lift up the middle part of the metal gate. valid reason??

For the sockets...I find that certain contractors want to have easy way out. Just hammer it it (1 second) rather than take about 10 second to screw it in. I afraid that will wont last long as the washers is demage and cannot grib the screw firmly.

What you think?

Happy, then the robber need to be at least 2m tall or have to bring a ladder/chair with him as well as all the equipments to saw off the gates.. After that, I wonder how he will bring all your valuables out together with his tools and equipment... Actually, the main issue is not to have too much valuables at home and dun flaunt your wealth, this will then not attract the theives to intrude your house.. However, if they really want to open up your home, there is no way you can stop them..

Just my opinion lah.. But after all its up to individual..

Hi all,

just some info for those who intends on getting an alarm for your place.

checked with cisco, there's a safe home plan that is abt S$35 a month which includes the following: -

- wireless alarm system

- 24 hr alarm monitoring & response service

- on site service call

- installation

- 3 yr warranty

the catch is that you have to sign a 3 yr plan which adds up to S$1300, but after that, you can still keep the equipment for the alarm, just no monitoring and response service. But at least it will serve to deter burglars.
