Anyone has this problem?

My flooring in the living room is lower than my kitchen, this is due to the household shelter door preventing my living room flooring level with the kitchen.

I am thinking of doing a kerb or a slope to have both flooring level.

Anyone has any suggestion?

tiles? laminates? parquet?

my ID did tiles 1st, then the cement screeding was done... thus, the floors are all level

Yes, do a small kerb so that you wont feel that your ktichen is higher than your foyer area.

Is the gap big or just less than0.5cm only? Or other than kerb, I dont know you notice the living room laminated meet the passwage way where tilers put those semi round wooden stipes? You may consider using that to join it.

Hi msbean,

Try not to put valuable items in your new flat when you are using number pad lock as it is not secure.

If your flat is about 95% completed and your valuable items has to arrive, please get a good key pad lock, lock your doors. Ask your ID to call you in advance if they need to touch up the renovation.

Next, if your ID wish to bring prospective customer to your flat, they should always not bring too many people (Maximum 2 grp or 4 people) as these people could well be stealing your stuffs when your ID is busying 'selling' his business.

For neighbours who have their furnitures and electrical appliances in the new flat, please visit your flat everyday to prevent the burglar from eyeing your flat as a potential target. Never throw your LCD TV box outside your flat or at the rubbish chute on your level because u are just telling the burglar " Hi, My TV is here ! Come and steal it since I have not move in "

Hi Zila,

Sorry to hear about your loss. Maybe, you could write a letter to Samsung stating that they have delivered the item at the wrong date which partially resulted in your lost of TV due to lack of security before the correct delivery date.

I hope that they could give u good discount if u like to purchase the TV again.

Actually, it's my ID's workers who signed the delivery order for us for the tv. Samsung delivered the TV one week earlier cos the shop we bought from forgot to tell them that the delivery should be postponed by a week. And they were outside the house already when they called, so my ID's workers signed the DO for us. In fact, our ID is the one who told us first that our TV was here. Actually, we do understand that we should bear some responsibility, but we're quite angry with my ID cos it seems that she's totally not willing to help. when we told her to find out more from her workers, she said that if we suspect her, she can also suspect that we purposely took away the tv to accuse her. abit duh right?? we wont be so bo liao.

The current number lock was changed on Monday. She used a different lock altogether. And the lock is smaller and easier to break lor. My husband was shocked when he saw the lock and knew the pin.

We suspect a few groups of people... Her workers, cos they were the ones who knew the TV was inside. Samsung's workers, cos they also knew the TV was inside and installation would only be done this weekend. And outsiders loittering around lor, cos the number lock is really too easy to break, mabbe the person didnt intend to steal the TV, but well, the TV was there in the box after he broke in, so he stole it?

Hai. Very sian. Ya...Never go down everyday, cos my husband and i have been working till 10plus the past few days and there was not much progress in the house cos it was only pending wallpaper, painting touch up and electrical stuff. Should have gone there everyday. Anyway, we lodged a police report ytd night, but i think there is no chance of recovery one la...

Hi Zlia,

Quite shock to know about this. But i think your ID should be partly responsible and most importantly, did you ask your ID whether they see the TV around when they are working from sat-thurs? And i think the burglar wont be so free as in to just only take the tv without the box??? This means that they have ample time to remove the tv?? which only means its done by inner people?? Just my guessing la. Then why did your Id suddenly change the pin and a smaller lock?

Finally, do not pay the last payment if this case is not settle properly. and probably you can try to 'scare' your Id by saying that you have lodge a police report and that the police may want to come and interview her and her workers for further investigation and see how is her reaction?
