VinceDelfino 0 Report post Posted December 21, 2007 I think certain brand's compressor can't go in (am not sure about sys3 or sys 4 inverter/non-inverter). From what I remember, Toshiba compressor can't go in, one forummer (can't remember who) have to cut the aircon window and retrofit it back by around $200. But again, the price of the whole bargain is still cheaper (by around $500-600 if not mistaken) than mitsubishi electric (the brand which can go through the window). For non-brand conscious fellow can do so..! !!haha, you're referring to me. i damaged my own window to fit the larger compressor. !!

elaine1205 0 Report post Posted December 21, 2007 (edited) Wow, you are daring to buy things from Courts. For us, Courts and others are cases of showroom.Afterwhich, we went to neighbourhood shops to get them. Uusually cheaper. If the agents are able to offer Courts/Best Denki/Harvey good offers, they would extend the offers to the shops as well. We did not opt for Korea and NZ products as it would be difficult to service IF in event something happen. And usually their customer services are not as extensive and accessible than other established Japanese brands, e.g. Mitsubishi, Daikin, Hitachi, etc. Price is one factor to consider, but do consider long term factors. Just 2 cents of considerations from another Estate. Cheers. Thanks for highlighting. However, Courts offers extended warranty which i do not think the neighbourhood shops dare to offer .Beside, i am very particular about the name of the brand esp Fridge. One of my friend bought a L* fridge during early this year but to find that his fridge broke down after 1 week he purchased it.All the food that they had prepared for chinese new year were spoilt. After weeks of recovering (troubleshooting 3 times on site), they had enough of it that they asked for a brand new fridge. Some of the aunties i asked around regarding fridges gave them alot of problems especially the temperature control part .That is why we are looking at continental brands .Alot of ppl gave thumbs up for fisher and payel. They are the only company that originally comes with 2 years in thermostat warranty while others only offer 1 year (however mit brand offers 2 years due to promotion i heard for this period).I guess the local support will definitely stock up all the spare parts that are frequently break down. gadgetgal 0 Report post Posted December 21, 2007 Would like to thanks Xlan and Pert for having us visit their house yesterday (Thursday). It is really an eye opener for us.. esp the kitchen cabinet and trunking. Xlan's air-con trunking are wonderfully done and very well hidden... am amazed how small that piping can be (mostly I've seen big ugly trunking!).Pert's house.. wah... it's so comfortable..and really have that designer looks!. If I have not finalize on my ID, I think I will consider moving that exact same design to my unit! Anyway,... thanks a lot for both Xlan and Pert
