zirhk3355 1 Report post Posted June 22, 2007 What has the aircon got to do with gas heater? But anyway, for your reference, aircon trunking was the very first thing that was done before I even do any works, then installation of gas heater only after the electrical, flooring and wet works are done. Painting is just before the carpentry works start.
Brainstorm 0 Report post Posted June 22, 2007 zirhk is right. But if you are re-doing the toilet wall tiles and the aircon trunking is going thru the toilet, you will need to time your aircon trunking works to be done only after the toilet new wall tiles is lay. Check with your contractor, he should be able to advise you on the actual date. As for gas, after all the kitchen tiles (floor/wall) are done, your contractor should arrange for the citygas guy to come. Cheers.
applefreak 1 Report post Posted June 23, 2007 hehe thanks zirkh reply to your question - actually nothing except that these are things that are not done by my contractorsbasically i will be getting a contractor to just install lights, paint and do kitchen cabinets so need to find out if air-con trunking and gas heater installation to be arranged in which stage loh.so now i will call the air-con pple to come down and install the trunking first, then ask my contractor to start work right? after the kitchen cabinets are about to be up then call the citygas pple to come down and install both the gas heater and the gas point for the stove, correct or not? Brainstorm 0 Report post Posted June 24, 2007 (edited) If you are doing kitchen cabinet, your contractor should be the one arranging with the gas guy to come down, then he can tell the gas guy where to run the gas pipe to. If we do it on our own, we may not have the full details, eg. exact location of gas, where to run the pipe so your contractor can hide for you, etc.... My ID will be arranging for the gas guy for me though. Edited June 24, 2007 by Brainstorm
applefreak 1 Report post Posted June 24, 2007 yes yes was worried about the gas pipe part coz ultimately the carpenter will decide where is the best location for the gas stove !!so i think i'll call the air-con pple on monday to arrange for the trunking works...really appreciate the advices !!
