Rayyy 0 Report post Posted December 20, 2020 Hi guys, currently i’m undergoing my renovation. When i came to check, found the l box for the whole living room is not straight/level. Some higher some lower. There’s an obvious slanted-ness of about 2-3cm lower on one end compared to the other end. Cant un-see this and contractor keep putting on the ceiling. They didnt inform me if it was slanted and used the ‘laser’ technology to determine its straight before doing. Will go down to measure if the l box itself is straight. Any advice? To tear down will incur coat but doest guarantee it’ll be straight. To cover with false ceiling, ceiling fan will be too low. They say its not possible to plaster as gap too big. Already paid 95% for the whole reno. Only have way done already headache ?. Any advice would be appreciated!
snoozee 98 Report post Posted December 21, 2020 go to hardware shop to buy a spirit level and measure your ceiling to check if it is indeed level. else can download apps on your smart phone to use it to check on whether the box is level or not. ceilings are usually not level unless you do a complete false ceiling. same case as walls will have variations.
