Enjoy! This is like those BBQ chicken?Mine version is much simplified.Marinate chicken with soya sauce & salt & pepper. Bake for 10 mins. Glaze chicken with honey. Bake for 10 mins, turn-over and glaze with honey. Bake for 10 more mins (or until cooked).Honey-baked chicken wing/drumstickAnd this is what I cooked for last night dinnerClaypot riceUse a big claypot or rice-cooker.Prepare veggie (chye Sim) & chinese la chan (slice).Prepare chicken - marinate with dark soya sauce, chinese wine, salt, pepper and sugari'm using rice-cooker because my claypot is only enough for 1.Cook the rice till it is semi-solid. Put the chinese la chan & chicken on top of the rice, and some oil. Continue to cook the rice. Veggie, cook by boiling. Drain and left it aside first. Continue to cook the rice till chicken is cooked. Last round of cooking, put in the veggie. Can also add salted fish and chinese dried mushroom.
shmj 0 Report post Posted August 30, 2007 This is like those BBQ chicken? It's outside texture is similiar to Ikea's chix wings. Taste wise I always like to add more marinate as I feel it enhances the taste. Of cos the simplest marinade is just some salt/ soy sauce + pepper.I guess with all recipes we adjust to suit our own taste buds lah.
