Net Hike Fee

Recommended Posts

By increasing 3 to 5 times of fees to retailers. Will it affect consumers?

COME July, retailers will start to pay a higher levy to use Nets, the cashless payment system - and a number say they may be forced to push prices up to cope. And GST increase by 2% meaning 7% in total.

What are your views and thoughts with so much changes occur?

NETS is appealing to the public to report merchants who impose the fee to consumers but i think there is still ways for merchants to disguise the fee in other ways.

i think the best way is to boycott using NETS and pay cash. when the consortium running NETS realised how much they are losing out in transaction, they may reverse the fee hike.

personally i will try not to use NETS whenever i can.

as for ur as consumers we will still lost out whenever we are using cash or nets. Since NET will be charge to retailers therefore their products will increase in price. And as for us as consumers we will need helping them to pay the NETS paying whenever we pay cash or payment by nets.

think now NETS are having a second thought on it.
