Digging garden bed for inter terrace

Recommended Posts

Hi I just purchased an inter terrace.
Previous owner filled up the front porch garden bed with concrete and now I would like to recreate one.

Anyone had any experience - est cost, potential problems?

Just get a contractor to hack away the concrete. The main problem is the disposal not the hacking. Later on you may need to amend the soil for planting depending on the soil condition

Honestly, I think you're onto something awesome with starting a garden. It's such a great way to make the space feel more homey and alive.

So, about your question on whether to dig directly into the ground or go for an alternative, I'd say consider raised metal garden beds. They’re super convenient, especially if you’re worried about the quality of the soil or just want to save your back from all that bending over. Plus, they look pretty sleek and modern, and you can move them around if you ever need to change things up.

Another cool thing about raised metal garden beds is that they can help with drainage, so your plants won't get waterlogged. And if you're into DIY projects, you can customize them to fit your space perfectly.
