They are supposed to patch up/plaster all the groove lines and small dents or holes before painting. I did pay an additional 100 to the painter due to the huge groove lines on my ceiling since my ceiling is pre-cast type, and this is to compensate the extra job that they are doing. applefreak 1 Report post Posted June 4, 2007 ummm, the groove lines are not really thin thinabout the width of my pinkie it's quite visible and a lot of them running all overmy painter charge very cheap so think the patching works is charged separately so at least i have the option of patching or not patching

I think you should patch up the groove line, it really looks much better after that. Groove lines on the wall is just too much distraction for me.

wtg54 0 Report post Posted August 27, 2007 The question should be after patching up, will crack lines appear? Coz the wall and the patched part maybe using different material, so contract and expand rate might be different. But since u using Medifresh, maybe ok. Coz some paints able to expand abit without cracking.Might be worthwhile to see who patched 1-2 yrs back and now no crack? My ID's painter said will crack over time. Then again, my paint is only Pentalite, so that could be the reason.
applefreak 1 Report post Posted August 27, 2007 think workmanship and quality of paint quite important bahif the putty is not packed into the gap, they may fall off in time some paint will expand so won't have cracks, think medifresh is one of those bro MaCe, how come yours so expensive?you plaster the whole unit walls isit? !!
