Homeowner 1 Report post Posted May 30, 2007 You can't register in more than 1 school, but you can volunteer in more than 1 school. I know a few mothers who did that and through their volunteer work, had greater insight into the workings of the schools, quality of teachers and chances of getting a place under Phase 2B. In some schools, Phase 2B requires balloting > 1km. They then register their child in the better of two school. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

We stay within 1km but not a volunteer and didn't join the huaykuan... wonder what is the possibility of getting in?anyway few months will have the outcome...just hope for the very best lor....if he really gets in then must brush up his Mandarin before next year Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

Luck and a bit of knowledge of demographics. For popular zodiac years e.g. dragon, the number of eligible applicants tend to be a lot higher, so balloting is more likely.Nowadays, with so many parents volunteering at schools, schools can be picky about which volunteer they want.
