Any Id Good In Country Style?

Recommended Posts

Hi all

I am very new here in this forum. Have been reading the forum here ever since we decided to buy a resale condo apartment recently and now planning to renovate it.

We are into country style of home decor. Any ID who is good in country style? BTW, the apartment has an odd shaped living room. We also need an ID who is good at space planning.

Any recommendation?

PS: We only saw one reno blog with English country theme by morghanjess. Any others that I can check out?

Yap morghanjess's Country style theme is veri  .

Most of the country style design are mostly on their expensive sofa, dinning tables, wallpaper and those white furnites which u can find it at Ikea or Da vinci.

Maybe u can get contractor to do the layout and u will be incharge of the design. :notti:

Tks, Cantona7.

Looks like nowadays no much interest in country style decor anymore. However, I still like it very much cos personally I find the modern designs (zen, minimalistic, etc) very cold and lifeless ... lack warmth which I think homes must have ...

My current house is also country style, and that's exactly what I did 7 yrs ago. I drew the plans and drawings, including scaled drawing of my kitchen, tile laying patterns for my floor, etc ... sourced my own materials (eg rustic beams made of styrofoam) and got the contractor to fixed them ... talking abt that, at that time, the contractor had never seen those beams before

My headache now is the odd shaped living room ... thought of getting professional help to maximise the use of the space ... now trying to see if I can work it out myself with Google Sketchup ... :P

Devilaz - Got your PM. Tks! :dunno:

There's a shop in Thomson Plaza second level that specialise in country-style kitchens; looking at their design for the shop, I think they are good. The shop really look like a cozy English cottage.

Why not try to ask him if they also do for the rest of the unit, or maybe they have connections with IDs who do?

Erm sorry I do not have the name, but they are near KFC.

Yes, was planning to do so when I take a day off to visit the various IDs at IMM ... but heard the place undergoing reno ... is there another place with lots of IDs at one location? !!

zirhk3355 - Tks. Will drop by Thomson Plaza one day. :bangwall:

Maybe you can try The Cottage Craft at 37 Ann Siang Road as they do have the country style designs that I like. But I did not engaged them as the price quoted is above my tight budget.
