Thanks keltic.

Wow you also have lots of carpentry coming also..in fact more than mine (i have no bedhead or platform, no side cabinet). Yup will take a while to fixed all. Carpentry are the most expensive in renovation.

Mine is neighter laminate or parquet but is a wood flooring. I'm not sure if laminate needs polishing but depends on the types.

Your place is very nicely done up.

Hihi

Wow your place looks great. Excellent choice of colors and furnitures. Makes your place look sleek and modern. I guess our reno is at about the same stage...just pending the carpentry. I got quite a lot of carpentry in cabinet, wardrobe, platform bed, full height bedhead, divider cum shoe cabinet, HS feature wall, tv console cum feature wall, study room cabinet and L-shaped study table, MBR side cabinet ... gonna take awhile for all these carpentry stuff...

BTW, yours is parquet flooring rite? Any idea if my wood laminate flooring needs polishing too???

Hi ah_kiat, new tiles are always shiny (except matt type :) )...challenge is how to maintain those shine (unlike marble which can polish again) for next 5 years.

You can always redo your reno to marble next time :dunno: but expensive.

wah...clean clean shiny shiny... :dancingqueen:

how i wish i can redo my flooring...

Thanks Air.

Wow reno looking good! Love your oh-so-shiny tiles! ;)

Oh. Wood flooring = timber strips? sorry i'm quite confused by all these wood floorings...how much did your ID quote you on the wood flooring? Any treatment to prevent it from being eaten by termites, water proof etc? I understand for my "Supreme" wood laminate, it cant get water on it else it will warp. But because its synthetically treated wood or crudely put, 'false wood', no danger of getting termite attack...

We using Burmese timber strips for more durability. Understand from ID that all natural wood flooring will be vulnable to termites but if you are on high floor like me than should be quite safe.

Used laminate before and yes very prone to warp and not good when rain or water touches for a long period of time.

No problem and thanks for the info & link for everyone to benefit :P

Good focus, perspective, lighting & post processing are the tips for good pics. Good selection of lens is also very important generally.

P.S: Canon just announced the most anticipated DSLR camera (the 40D) for US$1299 which is a very good buy considering it's specs & features :( So for those interested in getting into DSLR or needs a faster 6fps this is a good choice to consider :yamseng:

Here is the link for Canon 40D

Hi ah_kiat,

Thanks for the compliment but i'm not a pro but getting there day by day :deal:

I do not own a great P&S (point & shoot) camera like these before so do not have working experience. My bro & sis has the older IXUS a few years back and they find it very solid and reliable. I expect the same for these latest range.

On the specs on Canon website it is very good.

If you need a larger LCD screen i would consider the newer IXUS 750 with 3.0inch screen. Saw on the newstand oversea magazine that this 750 was voted one of the best P&S camera currently due to it's features & auto setting overrides.

But as you said if your requirements is for a wider angle shot then the 850IS with 28mm is very nice to have for group & landscape pictures. Cannot compares to SLR camera in terms of wide angle unless for static situation.

No sound recording which 750 have. But the 3.8 optical zoom is very good to have.

A great overall small pocket camera. Great for all occation especially for holiday :) .

p.s; When are you planning to purchase? End of month Comex show?

:P

We never do (i think) chemical washing on the living room homo tiles as not recommended by our ID. Was told that they only do some cleaning on the living room floor homo tiles to get rid of cement & dirts without acid wash...maybe i misunderstood. Do you think MUST/NEED to use chemical washing to remove the cements & stains on the floor homo tiles?

Definitely done chemical wash for kitchen & bathroom wall & floor tiles to get rid of those paint & cements.

After the chemical washing, the first day smell was just too much :D

Wow so shinny. :good: Hv u guy do up the chemical wash so fast? :good:

Compare to my HDB tiles.
