prodiguy02 0 Report post Posted December 19, 2019 Hi all, Me and my SO just discovered these spots on our master bedroom ceiling last night. Upon closer inspection, there were those small drain flies / sink moths that you find in toilets (as shown here) Does anyone know what caused this? I suspect it could be toilet pipe leakage somewhere as the flies could be an indicator of dirty water? Any help appreciated!

prodiguy02 0 Report post Posted December 19, 2019 We've only just moved in for less than 2 years.. Previously there was water seepage from the outside wall into one of the rooms and they had to hack the wall, pump cement in etc as shown here.. Is this unit defective? Do you think i can sue the contractor for poor workmanship? I'm getting very paranoid with the quality of this flat now

I'm getting very paranoid with the quality of this flat now From my opinion is that its not the contractor's fault and it seems that the leakage is coming from either a broken pipe or a leakage of the tap, so no matter how much you cover with cement the issue will come back So top fix your solution, you have to get a plumber to check all your taps to make sure there is no leak, and after that it means the leak is from the pipes and the only remedy is to change the entire piping
