liuhao 0 Report post Posted May 10, 2007 (edited) i read from somewhere suggested that for single piece dining light, the distance between ground and hanging light shall be 1.8 meter. i believe the reasons are 1) the hanging light shall be as low as possible. 2) when normal ppl (1.7 meter - 1.8 meter tall normally) stand up, he should still have an overview of the table and what are on it. if light is lower than 1.8 meter, potentially the light cover could block the sight which causes inconvenient. that's how the 1.8 meter is coming from i believe.
