easypeasy 0 Report post Posted August 28, 2019 Hi! I am new to renotalk : ) I would like to seek the advise of all if you know we are able to hack away a bedroom wall in old HDB 4 room flat? (30 years old) We bought a resale flat and want to hack off one bedroom to create bigger living room, but was told by one contractor this will highly likely not be approved by HDB as it is a prefab wall. Is this true? I saw many photos on website that shows hacked off walls in HDB flats and had always this is doable : ) Thank you for your advise !!
snoozee 98 Report post Posted August 28, 2019 buy the floor plans from HDB. get a PE to look at the plans and determine which wall you want to hack. submit to HDB and see if they approve or not. 30 years ago is unlikely to have prefab for HDB.
