lemonade 0 Report post Posted May 7, 2007 I bought a rinnai hood 972C, is it possible to cut the top portion to make it shorter? There is a beam blocking on top so I have to consider reducing the height to fit it in between the beam and hob.

When we tried it, there is no suction at all. Rinnai technician came down and told us that we couldn't chop off part of it for this type of hood. Maybe u can call up rinnai and check wif them. Their customer service quite good.
