the hdb handbook did mention NO CHARGES for hdb reno permit as above and charges $80-$120 for the skid.

for me, my contractor charges only $500 for haulage, $150 for removing debris. NONE for permit.

Is your new/old flat, and when did you renovate?

There is a difference between new and old flats, apparently, where new flats you are forced to take from the appointed (undertable) contractor, while old flats you find anyone you like.

My new 5-rm flat is $1200 to the appointed contractor, plus $283.50 to town council for clearing debris. In comparison, I called another contractor and pretend that I want to renovate my mum's 4-rm flat, he quoted $500 for all.

And time also a matter; recently with the sand ban from Indon, the contractors are taking the opportunity to raise the prices even though there isn't exactly an acute shortage yet.

my ID charging me a haulage fee of 1k..can u advise on it?funny thing is that all debris hav already been removed from my house..most likely dumped somewhere dwnstairs awaiting for transposrtation to dumping ground?

Not all hacking need PE endorsement. Maybe u can check whether your neighbour did any hacking and if they need any endorsement. U can also check with HDB.

As for th haulage, some ID will quote together with flooring, while some seperate out. Do enquire during the quotation.

For new flats, some town council will enforce contactor to buy sand and haulage from their designated contractor. U may see those notice near the lift. Different place different practices

but then again PE Endorsement is usually under request frm HDB and you will be notified if its needed or not so dun get cheated ok

Renoguru..i agreed to 1k haulage as my cousin also in this business said recently price increased already...
