dennyon 0 Report post Posted July 31, 2007 (edited) Ya, but still ponder whether to get a roomba or scooba. So which model u bought and how much is the total cost?Got the Scheduler for pets coz got a dog at home. BTW, the total weight seems to be a bit more than the one stated online. It was supposed to be 10+ lbs, but FexDex stated 13lbs when delivering. So you might want to leave some allowance. cookie 0 Report post Posted August 14, 2007 (edited) I called local reseller few months back, they don't even sell 4260. The 4230 quoted $1.2K. That is alot of $. Actually you can bring your charger to Sim Lim Tower and ask the shop there to help you solder:1. Replace 47uf @ 200V to 47uf @ 400V2. Replace pico fuse 1.6A 250V.Hi kohsw88, I had ordered Scooba 350. Will need to mod the charger once it arrive.Any differences in the mod from the parts u mentioned? dennyon 0 Report post Posted August 29, 2007 HELP HELPmy transformer/powerpack just went "POOF" and burnt out in the morning.Should I buy a AC/DC adapter ? or should I buy the original IRobot power-pack ?ALL HELP appreciatedMy transformer died too after 1 night of use. I'm contemplating between the two options: 1) mod the iRobot charger ($10 to $15?)2) get a universal power supply for laptops ($20 to $30?) Apparently, option 2 works. I read elsewhere that they got a 70W one and it's running perfectly. Getting a 34W one does not charge the battery fully.

cookie 0 Report post Posted August 29, 2007 Actually mod the charger cost only $2 to $3, that is to buy the C1 capacitor, excluding transportation cost lah .. 1.) Roomba 47uf 400V or Scooba 100uf 400V2.) Remove VR1 or RV1 varistor3.) Line PCB fuse (I think can just leave it based on some research from the web)Also thanks to the help from kohsw88, I just mod my scooba charger today, and I will test it out tonight and feedback the result here.here are the links I found having useful infohttp://gianmauro.wordpress.com/2006/12/29/...0v-to-220v-mod/http://www.roombareview.com/chat/viewtopic...p;highlight=220For Scoobahttp://mysite.verizon.net/gsplews/26DCpwrSup.htm
