your aircon receiver spoilt liao. need to change. call your original parts supplier they can find the part for you. be prepared to pay.

not sure if my air-con is going to spoilt. The thing that swings open for cold air to come out cannot open, when i use my hand to open it, it cannot swing back to close. can advise iszit something loose or going to spoilt?

i used to paid mine for $200 for 3 units for chemical cleaning included top up freon.... chemical cleaning includsive of dismantle of the whole fan coil unit.

Can some kind soul who has betty's contact please pass it to me.... Betty is, i think, very busy and her mail box is full...

BTW want to complain a bit about Best Tech... so that other people knows their **** : they tried to charge me $50 per fan coil that is $200 for 4 fan coil for normal cleaning.... the $160 voucher that they gave me (because i bought the aircon from them) can only be used such that $10 voucher can only be used for 1 fan coil... this means that i can only use $40 for 4 fan coil and pay $160 cash. This is ridiculous ...because my previous aircon guy only charge like $25 to $30 per fan coil dep on how many he clean. SO guys dont be tempted by the servicing voucher when u compare price to deciding what aircon to buy!!!! i have already trashed the best tech voucher...

Hi how was the service?

It's stated on their website that it's $80 per A/C.. did u manage to bargain with them?

So far for Cheap Aircon Servicing the cheapest quotation i got was from

Cosy Engineering, Tel:67411228 (Cheapest i could find)

- $88 for Chemical Overhaul of 1 FCU (Dismantle whole FCU).

But bad thing is they don't do chemical wash without dismantle.

The other one i tried their service(quite good and reasonable rate) before was

Lemoncool aircon servicing, Tel6782 1209 / 8222 2024. look for Mr Ong. They do give discount if do system 2 or 3 together.

- $120 for Chemical Overhaul of 1 FCU (Dismantle whole FCU)

- $80 for Chemical Wash of 1 FCU (Without Dismantle FCU)

called I-cool air con servcing to sevice my blocked air con and a leaking air con 3 weeks ago.

charged me $80 total and said his is quality chemical wash with air con top up.

after he left, i realized air con still leaking, the other 1 air flow still not very good.

called him and he came back but i was not in so he told my bro in law who is not very bright at the first place and say because there is still water in the air con thats why air still a bit block, wait for it to dry should be fine.

as for the leak air con, his excuse is because the air con is installed not parallel to the floor. wtf?!

3 week past and i realized the blocked air con still not blowing well. called this Adrian yesterday night and he told me, oh u ar, yr air con must overhaul la, same for your leak air con. than why he say my air con not aligned properly..........

i asked him y no need come down and check he knows i need to overhaul. he said first day he saw my air con he knows already.

I questioned him y he did not tell me to overhaul at the first place, if he told me i would have overhaul and save the chemical wash fee...... he said because I asked for chemical wash ma, so he kept quiet lor....

**** tolan.... the best part is, i called another air con guy and he told me the gas was not been top up at all!!!!!!!!!!

Block aircon, usually the dirt is very jialat liao

but if u say Leaking aircon, did the l-cool ppl flush your aircon outlet piping?

The Freon gas cannot over top up if not the aircon won't be cold. As long as within acceptable level it would be good enough.

Just signed contract with AireControl.

3 units fan coil plus condenser - 3 times a year at $192.60 (inclusive gst)

First time trying them out - pretty ok.

Used to have Cool Serve doing this maintenance for more than 7 years but recently found their service pretty poor.

Kept trying to get you change this or that etc....and further more their contract much more expensive.

When the AireControl guys came, I asked them to check the "gas" and I made sure I was watching them.

The showed me the reading...my god, no wonder my air con was leaking and not cold.

The gas level drop to less than one-third and my last servicing (3 months ago) by Cool Serve told me no problem.

The only time Cool Serve tells me that my Aircon gas needs refilling is during the first servicing of each new annual contract.

I am sharing my experience with Tim's company.

My aircon was installed more than a year back by the same company represented by Tim and Aron. After installation, one of the FCU keeps leaking. Aron send 3 groups of different people to resolve the issue but have not resolve it. It keeps leaking every now and then. The company just sends people down to check drainage everytime without any solution.

When the one year warranty is over, they suddenly suggested to shift the FCU higher claiming that it will improve the drainage but they need to charged me for labor. I was disappointed but they guarantee tat it will solve the problem, I agreed to pay, thus work was done.

Just barely one hour after they shift the FCU, it LEAKED!! The workers came back and tell me all sorts of reasons. For over a year, I have to tape a plastic bag to catch the leaking water. Then my aircon leaked last night and now they tell me probably it is aircon sweating and suggested to get Mitsubishi to look at it. But I have to pay another amount to Mitsubishi becoz TIM told me warranty for FCU is over.

What I am unhappy about is that they could have suggested the two solutions during the warranty. It is obvious now why they suggested it after warranty. If they were professional, they would have suggested to shift the FCU and to get Mitsubishi to have a look during the warranty period and not after warranty period. I told them to shoulder the Mitsubishi cost but they disagree. Now I have to live with a poorly installed FCU unless I forked out the cost from my pocket.

Also note that their workforce are subcontractors who will only do the work if they get paid the company. My installation guy was one subcon, the leaking issue was resolve by two other groups.

In addition, with a leaking aircon, Tim can only arrange the fixing after 5 calendar days due to subcontractor not around. Imagine, 5 days to bear with leaking aircon. Below is the email exerpt from Tim:

"Hi, So sorry about the aircon leaking problem. It should be able to solve after we done the service last month.

Anyway, I already schudule my man to go down to inspect the problem this coming wednesday 23/5 WED.

Timing is 3-6pm.

We really hard to squeeze the schedule since the service man Scott is not in town next week between MON to WED. So we arranged him to go down your place on Wed after he come back to Singapore.

Hope you understand! We are trying to see and what is the problem you met. But just need some time for us to schedule the servicing. Its great if you can allow us go down on wed.
