18mm Thick by 4 ft by 8ft

I plan to build my first L shape wardrobe, can any kind soul give me some advice should I use 18mm thick got the whole wardrobe except the five sliding doors with 15mm thick laminated plywood.  I asked around plywood supplier, most don't do delivery and one give the excuse that 8' x4' plywood cannot enter HDB lift, is this true? Can anyone please recommend supplier who can do delivery.

I guess depends on which HDB lift. maybe you can take a measuring tape to measure the internal height of the lift of your block.

I remembered years ago when I bought wardrobe from IKEA, they managed to deliver the wardrobe panels and doors which are of 2.4m in height to my parents place which is on high floor.

Hi,

Let me give you some advice. You can't use sliding door for L-Shape Wardrobe. For doors, it would be wise to use 18mm thick blockboard instead of 15mm plywood which is not advisable. Door might warp easily after a certain period of time.

For L-Shape Wardrobe, you need to fabricate  in the factory. However, due to space constrain in bringing up by lift, all parts must be loose and assembling is normally done inside the bedroom. For plywood supplier, there are plenty of them in the market. You can easily source it from Sungei Kadut.
