Problems with quarts top installation

Recommended Posts

I have contractor to install quartz top on my kitchen cabinet. After installation there is a 4 to 5 mm gap between my kitchen sink and the quartz top. Is there any way to solve this problem? As for now, the big gap is ‘close’ using silicone glue and it’s look ugly. I worry the silicone glue would trap dirt and mold easily after sometime. I wonder what I can do to solve this problem.

Yes it’s undermounted sink. The person who installed them claimed that the silicon glue will not shrink and trap dirt even though after many years. I wonder if water would come in contact with the kitchen cabinet in the future.
