Pay attention to the composition of the wicker furniture. Often for thin and delicate weaving, manufacturing companies do not use rattan, but bamboo or rods of colored paper! The joints in natural rattan furniture are its weakest point. The more there are, the faster your furniture loses. Also, notice how these joints are made and secured. Each joint should be closed with a tight and tight braid. If there is no braid or it is made of poor quality, then the weaving will quickly fall apart and the furniture will soon become unusable.
