Hi, would like to know will your agent help you to apply the bank housing loan ?

My agent recommeded a few representative from different bank... after that my HB talked to them direct...

I took up DBS because it was offering the 1st 25k at 0% interest for the first year. But that was half a year ago, you'll need to check out what's the latest.

I think only use this service if cannot get HDB loan. Think is better for the interest rate in HDB.

Last time one agent (HB's friend intro her ex boss) keep perusing us take bank loan and say have checked for us and confirm cannot get HDB loan for our case. Lucky I call HDB to check it personally. After I discovered the lies, I decided to not engage this agent.

Guess consumers have to beware such agents.

For me, i didnt use what my agent recommended... went to talk to a few banks direct... eventually used citibank. The reason is bec they have this special scheme whereby for every dollar u put in the savings account u maintain with them, u get equivalent amount of savings in interest wh i think is v good. None of the banks savings accounts can grant u 3.25-4.5% interest anyway.

Best if u call the banks directly first... If really cannot get what u want, then ask the agent for help..... They are agents, not bankers. If they insist you to get bank loan, mean they will be getting some referral fees from banks... Thus be careful.....
