simple renovation works - single contractor?

Recommended Posts

Hi all, I plan to do simple reno works - painting, install aircon (currently no aircon point), install water heater (currently no heater point), replace lightings. Not sure if I should get a single contractor or to get an electrician and a painter. If the latter, is it correct to do the painting last? If single contractor, will he charge high markup since my works are not major? Thanks all!

Looking for good contractors? Click here for your request

aircon the company you purchase it from will do the install

electrical can get a licensed electrician directly.

painting can also engage directly and should be done last.

why do the painting last is because the AC installers will need to touch your wall here and there. also there are the AC trunking which will be laid. unless you are ok with possible having dirty hand prints on your walls and white PVC trunking which doesn't match the wall colour, you can opt to do painting first.

the painting crew will just paint around the AC units which would be minimal issue. it's like just painting around the door or window frames.

A 15-year-old boy, Tan Yao Bin, was apparently electrocuted and killed while having a shower on Tuesday night. He suffered cardiac arrest and despite attempts by paramedics, who administered cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), died later that night.

Choose licensed electrician. Money is always secondary. Life and time with our loved one is precious.
