How Would U Paint This Wall?

Recommended Posts

Having a dilemna with the painting of my house.

Pix 1) living room - sofa leans against this wall - right side is the balcony which I've hacked.

Pix 2) living room - same wall - left side. There's a divider (in blue block) and then further left is the door (brown block).

I would like to paint this wall but I'm not sure where to start/end (see pix 3)

1) Paint from after divider to "red" or "orange" line?

2) Paint from door to "red" or "orange line?

3) Paint from door all the way around the balcony - forming a L

Pix 4) Bedroom wall corner - bed leans against this wall (ignore green line)

Likewise, want to paint this wall, but dont know how to end. Should I paint to the "blue" or "green" line? (see pix 5)

Last but not least, previously someone recommended a website where U can preview before you paint. Cant locate the website - anyone can help! thanks!

Looking for good contractors? Click here for your request

this kind of things quite personal loh

it all boils down to personal taste and preference

we may like our own suggestions but you may like it otherwise

for me i'd most prob go for one colour for the whole room, lazy to choose so many colours :sport-smiley-018:

Firstly.. I think shd add a downlight right next to the balcony beam. Currently there is a very dark corner there.

Secondly... is very difficult for painter to have a line in the middle of a wall and both sides different colour. I think without a stainless steel strip, is not possible to do it nicely. Shd only change colour at wall corners.

Thirdly, if wall got many sections, hall will look much smaller than a hall with all walls same colour. So.. depends on what effect u want to create lor. Personally, I rather have all walls same colour, and only highlight with feature wall or wall panels.

And I would have added 1 more downlight at the balcony wall so that the wall appears longer rather than turn at the beam, based on the lighting effect.
