Warping Of Tiles, Shall I Ask My Contractor To Redo Or Tiles Supplier (hafary) To Responsible?

Recommended Posts

Our contractor was introduced by mother in law, that's why very tough decision.....

The beginning was very good, about 25-30% of the tiles were perfectly done. But right after that line, I spotted about 48 uneven area, I will take some pictures together with 5 cent coin to show the level of warp.

Our tiles cost $3.8psf and we are charged about $3K to cover area like this:

*the bomb shelter area is tiled too.

Shall I straight away ask my contractor to redo (hack all and re-tile everything) or ask Hafary down to inspect the QC of the tiles first?

I had issues with 3 pieces of my study room tiles and had it replace but after that was done I notice the color variation is much worse to live with then the minor warping, if the color is white I guess there won't be much difference but if its darl color u might wan to consider the repurcussion.

Mine is with Hafary as well but I think warping got more to do with the size of the tiles and the workmanship.

close ups for the uneven tiles......there are at least 23 of them......out of 100+ tiles.

Uneven rate is as high as 20%, what a reputable company.....Hafary.......really disappointed with their QC....
