Toilet Wall Tile Chipped During Aircon Installation

I haven't shift in yet and the aircon contractors chipped off a noticeable part (1-2cm) of the wall tile when they are drilling to enlarge the hole for the pipe.

They are claiming it to be normal, while my contractor say it shouldn't happen if they had used a small drill first followed by the big one.

Anyone can advise?

My aircon guys also drilled separate holes on the tile itself, but my ID said she will help me replace the piece of chipped tile. =)
