Camera - Digital Cameras

Recommended Posts

hi!

Which digicam is good for price range between 600-700 bucks? Not sure what models there are now in the market, so any advice from anyone who has bought a camera recently would be much appreciated!

my requirements are simple. Just would like it to not be bulky and preferably with large screen.

:) thanks!!

You can take your pick from canon ixus series. Ixus 850IS recommended :sport-smiley-018: me Canon user, so can't commend on the rest cos nv use b4. Maybe you can look at panasonic lumix also.

I would recommend Fujifilm digital cameras. They have very good low light shooting ability (which is important if you take a lot of indoor or night shots) and the results are much clearer and less 'grainy' than most other brands. Casio and Panasonic cameras are known for taking grainy photos in low light conditions.

You can consider the Fujifilm F31fd, which is going for around $500 now. Or the Z5fd which is slimmer, which costs around $450 if I'm not mistaken.

Hmmm paddie is right.

Fujifilm beats the competition hands down.

My take is Fujifilm f40.

Panasonic FX50 with large 3" LCD screen, 28mm wide angle etc :)

canon also good :notti:

panasonic recently launched a new model, TZ-3 priced at $699. But, you can get it cheaper around $599 at Alan Photo & MS Color.... not bad, got 10x optical zoom, 28mm wide angle, ISO stabilizer etc etc... :)

+1 for FujiFilm. The F30 / F31FD is unsurpassed in terms of photo quality in low light condition. :sport-smiley-018:

The advice once again is to go with Fujifilm. Sure, they are not the slimmest cameras around but do you want something that looks nice or do you want your photos to look nice? Just look at this comparison with Canon IXUS 850 (Panasonic cameras will be even worse for graininess):

If that doesn't convince you, then I don't know what will :(
