size of ceiling L Box

Hi everyone,

                     As I'm starting to renovate my BTO flat soon and getting L-Box for my living room ceiling. I'm interested to know what is the

1) standard width and

2) standard drop down height

of the L-Box most people have.

I have ask my ID about it, but the answer he gave me seems rather wide, thus I wish to know what is the standard size or what most forumers have.

I was told either 350mm or 500mm are the standard. I guess it depends if you are having aircon under it, or if u have a big downlight?

Downlight size is pretty standard, either a 4 or 5inch.

No aircon for it... Just plain downlight and covelight for the L-Box.

350mm seems fine, but 500mm is really wide.
