yes do get plants! i think plants can add a nice "nature" touch to homes. why don u start with small potted plants. some are pretty maintenance free. then later go to bigger plants! keke.

i saw and bought it while holidaying in batam

Hi mist, nice hauls from BKK!:notti: What is the bird cage-like thing near the balcony?

thats a standing birdcage from the home merchant. my hubby's eyeing on it for a long time so we decided to grab that when they were having a sale:)

hey any one of u keep birds at home? are they hard to maintain? my hubby wants to get a parrot. we went parrot shopping and realised its beyond our budget. so ex!:P so maybe thinking of songbirds or lovebirds.. i'm not so keen on birds coz i wanna have a doggie next time. dogs and birds don go well together right? :P

Hi Mist,

I was surfing your blogspot and spotted a nice fabric that I like, mind to share with me where did you get them? I like the pastel green background with pink butterflies and peacocks.

How do you sew your cushions? Handsewn or Machine? I do not know how to use the machine and do not even have one, so I am thinking to handsew some of the things but dunno whether can or not. Afterall I am a guy doing sewing so skill may not be so pro. My sewing method is saddle stitch but dunno whether can be straight. Do you have a pattern to follow?

The green cloth.. i think its either chinatown or joo chiat.. its been some time since i bought it.. and i bought sooooooo many cloth. u can try chinatown (the place above the food centre) or joo chiat complex (...not sure if they still sell it?)

handstitch? gosh that will take ages... i machine sew.. not v difficult to use machine, learnt it last time in home econs.. so decided to buy one when we bought our house. have been using it for sewing cushions/table cloth/curtains.. even sewn a pair of boxer shorts for my hubby :jawdrop:

I'm just using the normal straight stitch.. havent advanced to more fanciful stuff yet but will try when i have the time. or u pay me i sew for u! heee just joking. no time no time no time! sigh so busy at work lately..
