seeseelooklook 0 Report post Posted August 18, 2017 Just had a terrible accident where my grandfather had a fall on the slippery floor of my house bathroom, what products are there in the market to use? I don't want to spoil the minimalistic look of my floors by putting mats, neither do i want to replace my floor tiles. Please Help! Thanks
w7_lee 11 Report post Posted August 19, 2017 (edited) Hope he is OK. I remember that there was this service where they can spray a layer of coating onto the tiles. The coated surface becomes rough. My friend bought a re-sale and had not enough $ to re-do the kitchen. So he did it in his kitchen tiles and after 10 years, I saw that at around the kitchen sink, some had peel off. But the rest of the walls and floor looks fine. I guess the domestic helper might have scrub a little too hard around the sink. But I am not sure if it works on floor tiles in the bathroom. If your bathroom has a dry area, I guess it is OK to do it there but at the shower area, it might slow down the water flow to the trap. You'll need to talk to the contractor. Another option is to overlay with another layer of tiles. I believe there's only some hacking around the floor trap area. Branlee 1 Report post Posted August 29, 2017 Hey there! I heard there is a product in the market right now that will make floor tiles rough thru chemicals, not sure if it coats the surface though. Here is an example: http://www.gmesintl.com/slipmedics-stone-grip/ I hope this helps you and your grandfather! Cheers
