Help! Above-kitchen cabinet ideas appreciated :)

Need your ideas please!  Ceiling height is 3.2m. 

1. Should I build cabinetry above my existing kitchen cabinet? Should I leave it? Will it be dust magnet? 

2. Have you had any experience with leather handles on kitchen cabinets?
