What do you think of my quote?

Mine is a new standard HDB flat with living room and bed rooms flooring bare. Im thinking of hacking the a bedroom wall, to make a WIW.

A) Masonry Works

Laying 600mm x 600mm super polished homo tiles c/w skirting in living and dining (up to $3 tile)(based on abt 52 sq ft)

Laying of Kronotex laminated flooring cw skirting for all 3 bedrooms

Construct 50mm washer base, cabinet base, fridge base

Construct 2 shower kerbs at 2 bathrooms

Construct main entrance kerb

Alteration of existing date

B) Plumbing Works

Replacement of standard stainless steel pipes

Labour for installation of instant heaters

Labour for installation of bathroom accessories

Labour for installation of kitchen sink

Laying of concealed drainage pipe for kitchen sink (?)

supply & install 10mm tempered glass shower screen at master toilet

Any comments? Is this quote reasonable, can be considered as a good deal?

1. I like to know what are these? I did not ask for these - are these standard essential stuff to have?

2. I need to ask ID to write down the area in sq ft for the ceilings and Lbox right?

3. Also need to ask for quote for electrical work?

4. Package include laying of kitchen tiles and store tiles, but I dont need that, so ID only deduct $1,200 for me. I felt that the package seems expensive. MOst of the items in the package can be given f.o.c except for the big ticket items like flooring, so makes me think the $14,588 for the package is not attractive either.

5. May I know is it neccessar to install a washing machine tap? Whats that?

6. How about to change all PVC cold water pipe (as per HDB provided to us now) to stainless steel pipe or copper piping? Is this neccessary/ essential?

This is the extra tap in the kitchen/service balcony (depend where U want to put your washing machine) for your washing machine...

one of the ID actually told me that they won't change all the pipes, they will just replace the exposed pipes so those concealed will still be PVC. actually just extend the inlet/outlet enough liao

as for the concealed drainage pipes, it will depend large where you are putting your sink

if it's right above the 'designated' area, then no need. but if you are going to put your sink far far away from the spot, then you got to conceal the pipe under the flr tiles liao. imagine the water pipe running across your kitchen floor

the kitchen cabinet also very expensive

some place offering $888 for the 20ft with the standard ABS blah blah stuff if you take up their reno package
