bepgof 20 Report post Posted July 23, 2017 (edited) 'Good orientation' of building/house associates with seasonal sun path movement (sunlight) and prevailing wind patterns (wind flow). 'Good' refers to human comfort and energy saving ($). Need pay attentions to walls and window openings FACING. Not only the main entrance/exit door. You have an afternoon sun facing wall ( which floor? Shades? External verticle planting? Cladding?....to block the heat?) Believed most experienced people would avoid this. NE wind path (typically nov~jan) is blocked. N-path also blocked. NS wind path (Jul - Sep) blocked? Got NS windows? Notes: I prefer 09 for morning sun (solar access) and no afternoon sun. Windows facilitate the NS, NE wind paths. Edited July 23, 2017 by bepgof
