Which Air Conditioner System Combination To Choose?

Recommended Posts

Dear All,

I would like to seek your expert advice here.

Based on my research, from Singapore's Energy Labelling homepage..

http://www.nccc.gov.sg/energylabel/aircon.asp

I have short listed a few air conditioners which are very energy saving and within reasonable price.

http://www.coolserve.com.sg/htmdocs/produc...ils.asp?id=1061

http://www.coolserve.com.sg/htmdocs/produc...ils.asp?id=1044

http://www.coolserve.com.sg/htmdocs/produc...ails.asp?id=878

http://www.coolserve.com.sg/htmdocs/produc...ils.asp?id=1202

My idea is to the 3 bedrooms as well as the lviing room.

Now the problem is which systm combination will be the best?

System 3 + 1

System 4

or System 2 + System 2?

Although these are non-invertor aircons, I compared them with invertor aircons and I must say for the price u pay for the aircon, Cooling Capacity (BTU/hr) vs the EER is pretty good. However I would like to seek some expert opinon on the pros and cons? Which is more convenient for installation and what are the future problems with each type of system?

All these are based on my extensive research from

Must give him some credit mah~ whoever is he tat is. :(

*EER stands for "Energy Efficiency Ratio" and is the ratio that tells you how much cooling power is provided by the air-conditioner for every unit of electricity used. Hence, the higher the EER, the more energy efficient the air-conditioner model is.

the first question to ask before making any recommendation...

what is your usage like? eg... MBR heavy, rest of the rooms occassional or some other combination? mainly day or nite usage?

how bout the size of the rooms?

does your MBR have a WIW seperating the bed area from the toilet area ... etc etc

how bout the facing of your rooms? is it west facing? does it get the morning afternoon sun? Curtains?

you have to give a more detailed description of your unit to let people have a better mental picture of your home before a recommendation can be made

this is important in the recommendation, as you would want to maximize the power for each compressor for the non-invertor models
